Carcinogens & Toxins in Drinking Water:
Most city waters contain carcinogens produced in the water from the presence of Chlorine and organics that may be present. Activated Carbon filters DO NOT remove these carcinogens (TriHaloMethanes & Halic Acids) nor many other toxins.
Annual municipality reports that show carcinogen levels below maximum allowed limits are actually only reporting 2 samples during the course of the year. In the minds of most people, maintenance of carcinogens below a maximum that is only reported twice annually does not verify “safe water.”
Well, water that uses oxidizers such as Chlorine has the same carcinogenic potential problems as city water but usually is not even tested twice annually. Take control of your own health. Be sure your water is properly treated with SpringPure MAX Catalytic Filter. Remember, Activated Carbon filters DO NOT remove these carcinogens.

Residential City Water Treatment
Generally, the primary problems with city water are Calcium & Magnesium Hardness, Chlorine, and the Carcinogens that Chlorine produces. Less often, there are additional issues as well such as Sulfur, Iron, Lead, or Fluoride.
The good news is that SpringPure MAX Catalytic Filter & IX Softener removes ALL these impurities and more. If Hardness is not an issue, then the IX Softener portion is not necessary, for a reduced price.
Residential Well & Spring Water Treatment
Generally, the contaminants most often encountered in well water may include Iron, Sulfur, Manganese, Hardness, Arsenic, and/or Bacteria. The good news is that SpringPure MAX Catalytic Filter & IX Softener with UV Light remove ALL these impurities and more.
If Hardness is not an issue, or Bacteria is not an issue in your well water, then the IX Softener option may not be necessary, therefore reducing the cost.
Spring Water rarely requires the +Softerner Adder, but always requires the +UV Disinfection.

How it Works
SpringPure MAX Catalytic Filter removes contaminants in a five-step process.
When these our special medias are spent, it automatically rejuvenates again.
Pre-Oxidation
A refreshed compressed air/oxygen chamber reacts to oxidize contaminants in the water to a safe molecular compound form, and/or precipitates it so that filtration occurs in subsequent steps.
SpringPure’s proprietary, fully programmable control head monitors the flow of water coming in to be treated, metering it, allowing subsequent backwash and regeneration to be controlled by either it’s built-in water meter, or its time function. This is very helpful for rental residences.
The SpringPure control head refreshes the oxygen compression chamber after each regeneration.
Catalytic Reaction Media
Water then passes through a catalytic media, a secondary oxidation process, that operates by similar chemistry as your car’s catalytic converter, yet NSF approved, and removes mal tastes, mal odors, chlorine & it’s carcinogenic byproducts, fluorides, sulfur iron, and many other heavy metals and toxins.

Post Filter
This is an additional step provided for Well & Spring Water, not necessary for most city waters.
A large high quality Activated Carbon Filter is supplied to ensure great-tasting water as mal tastes & odor can sometimes be present, also catching bypassed constituents which can happen during the regeneration process.
Typically, because the water coming to this filter is so purified, it only needs changing annually.
Regeneration
Based on the tested water quality, flow volume and time, The SpringPure control head backwashes the medias, refreshes the oxygen compression chamber, and repacks the media after each regeneration.

How much room does the equipment take up?
If you only need a SpringPure MAX FILTER, 12” x12” floor space, 65” high.
If you also need the SpringPure Softener add-on, you need an additional 13”x 13”, 32” high.
Will I be able to drink the water?
Definitely. We challenge anyone to a taste test comparing SpringPure water with their favorite bottled water!
Will I need a Reverse Osmosis system under the sink?
No. SpringPure water will be better, healthier drinking water than RO water.
The only time we recommend RO water is if it is needed for humidification.
Will I need any maintenance on the unit?
No, If you have city water.
Yes, if you have well or spring water. We can train you to do maintenance, but often our customers desire to participate in our Professional Service Agreement (PSA) available for $300/yr.
